Old Business: 

• None

New Business:

• Spring Fly-in date set for May 19^th. Plan to fly Young Eagles.

• Chapter Leadership Boot Camp is being offered to all officers but others can attend if interested. The training is the weekend of Feb 24^th in Daytona Beach. There is no cost for the training, just the travel and lodging expenses for yourself.

Main Discussion / Tech Talk:

• Discussed Cliff’s Sonex project and sources of information for the kit and the prop. Cliff invited all to visit his home to see the build and offer helpful observations.

• Discussed the up-coming US Sport Aviation Expo (formerly Light Sport Expo) in Sebring FL. If you plan to attend give Larry a call to catch up for the trip or at the show.

• Sun-N-Fun starts April 10^th this year. Larry is the co-chair of transportation. Give him a call if you plan to attend. Coordinate with Larry for camping spot or to volunteer to help with the show if you can.

• Discussed the benefits of electronic ignition with some example spark plugs worn well past their useful life but had still been firing.

• Discussed the engine hot starting procedures as well as good pre-heating and cold start procedures used for various aircraft. (Everyone’s baby is just a little different.).

• Discussed modern engine design requirements for high operating temperatures and high quality oils to achieve their power and economy targets
